Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience within the last 18 months required License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - PALS (AHA) - APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) Must-Have: - Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months - Hematology/Oncology experience - Willingness to float to ED to care for inpatient holds - EPIC electronic medical record experience within the previous 12 months - Completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months Description: The position involves providing care to pediatric patients, including those in Hematology/Oncology. Nurses will float across various departments as needed, including the NICU, general floor, and PICU. Patient ratios will range between 1:2 and 1:4. The unit consists of a total of 14 beds. Nurses are required to work 1 to 2 of the 3 upcoming holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed. Candidates must have a professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months. A skills checklist specific to Pediatric/Oncology nursing is required for submission. All documentation must verify qualifications and experience relevant to the pediatric and oncology specialties.
