This is a 10-bed unit that may surge to accommodate additional rooms when necessary. Team support includes both pediatric and neonatal teams available 24/7. The patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, and general pediatrics. Diagnoses may include GI, respiratory conditions, and surgical cases. Nurses will be responsible for various pediatric procedures and symptom management. Strong pediatric competency across general pediatric care is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in patient care management and equipment handling. This position may involve floating to different areas within the facility. Successful applicants will engage in teamwork and collaboration across disciplines. All staff must meet pediatric competency standards.
