- Position Description:
This role assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of pediatric patients with hematology and oncology conditions, following standards of professional nursing practice and organizational policies. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning including discharge, direct patient care, coordination, delegation, supervision of staff, documentation, and participation in clinical improvement activities. The position involves interaction with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and external contacts, promoting continuity of care and fostering ongoing professional development. - Required Qualifications:
Current, valid RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of practice or a valid licensure recognized for practice in the state; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; clinical experience in pediatric hematology and oncology care; and a minimum of 0 years of related experience. - Schedule:
Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. - Additional Information:
The position involves providing care based on the best evidence available, participating in research activities, and supporting professional growth through precepting and mentoring.
