The role emphasizes delivering high-quality clinical support to pediatric patients, including those with oncology needs, in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for patient care on a pediatric and oncology unit, supporting the organizations mission to provide excellent healthcare services.
- Required Qualifications: Pediatric experience in hospital; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and at least 1 year of clinical experience; valid certification requirements for pediatric oncology.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric oncology and familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system.
- Additional Information: Unit staff includes 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 radiologic technologist, and 1 patient care technician per shift, with patient ratios of 1:3, 1:4, or 1:5. Typical duties include procedures involving Alaris pumps, adherence to unit policies, and participation in weekend shifts (6 weekends, 2 Saturdays).
