Job Opportunity – Pediatric Registered Nurse – Texas
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with patient ratios of 1:3-5. Weekend coverage required (5 shifts per 6-week period). On-call duties based on unit census. Floating between units as needed within scope of practice.

- Work at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 staffed beds and a dedicated 35-bed pediatric unit
- Care for diverse pediatric populations including infants, children, and adolescents with an average daily census of 27
- Utilize Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 12 hours of structured orientation to support your transition to the unit
- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of RN experience

Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of registered nurse experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications (current and valid)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Competency in pediatric skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, oxygen delivery systems, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, hyperbilirubinemia management, and various feeding methods
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
