Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Pediatric Step-Down – Colorado

Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Denver, Colorado
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, travel assignment

Highlights:
  • 36-bed pediatric step-down unit with all private rooms and parent sleeping accommodations
  • Mixed acuity patient population including spinal fusions, chest tubes, and high-flow oxygen support
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for step-down patients and 1:4 for basic care patients
  • Phillips monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR system
  • Supportive team environment with charge nurse coverage and clinical resource staff
  • Free on-site parking with direct bridge access to the unit
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of current pediatric RN experience required
  • Active RN license in Colorado or compact state license
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Must be comfortable managing high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion patients, and chest tubes
  • Prior Meditech experience preferred
  • Experience with procedures including NGTs, Foleys, TP tubes, PIVs, and phlebotomy
  • Candidates with multiple years of travel experience are prioritized
