Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required, no call
Highlights:
- Pediatric medical-surgical and hematology/oncology unit serving patients ages 0-17
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with 24-hour orientation period
- Self-scheduling model with up to 7 days pre-approved time off
- Epic charting system with Pyxis and SBAR protocols
- Contract duration: 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027 to support through the holiday season
- Float to PICU and NICU as needed; interdisciplinary team support including PT, pharmacy, and respiratory services
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Chemotherapy administration experience and certification strongly preferred
- IV start and lab draw skills preferred
- Active NC or Compact nursing license (pending acceptable for submission)
- First-time travelers accepted with required experience
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
