TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Opportunity – Pediatric Medical-Surgical/Hematology-Oncology Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15), 36 hours per week, self-scheduling available. Every other weekend required. No call requirement.

Highlights:

  • Pediatric Medical-Surgical and Hematology/Oncology unit serving patients ages 0-17
  • Patient ratio of 1:5-6 across all shifts
  • 24-hour orientation with self-scheduling flexibility
  • Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication system
  • Contract duration: 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027 to support the unit through the holiday season
  • Float opportunities to PICU and NICU as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required
  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Chemotherapy administration experience and certification strongly preferred
  • IV start and lab draw/phlebotomy skills preferred
  • Experience with central lines, ports, and peripheral line management
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

  • Pre-start online modules required (8-10 hours, non-billable)
  • Local candidates within 50 miles accepted with rate adjustment
