Experience: 2 years required with a minimum of 6 months pediatric experience particularly in general surgical cases.
License: California RN license required; pending state license accepted if there is an estimated time of arrival for licensure.
Certifications: BLS and PALS required.
Must-Have:
- Pediatric experience is required.
- Full flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
- Strong RN skills for first-time travelers are accepted.
Description:
Urgent need for a registered nurse in the pediatric operating room.
The position is an 8-week contract with variable start times.
Weekend and holiday availability is required based on departmental needs.
Call requirements include 4 calls per 4-week schedule, including night call.
Preferred service lines include ortho, neuro, craniofacial, ENT, dermatology, laser, plastics, endo, dental, urology, general surgery, cardiac, neuro, kidney, and liver transplants.
The facility operates 16 surgical suites and handles approximately 20,000 cases per year.
Candidates must have experience in various surgical cases, particularly involving pediatrics.
The nursing professional is expected to float within scope to meet facility needs.
No accommodations for block scheduling will be made.
Local candidates are not accepted, and maximum requested time off is limited to 6 days.
Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions.
Candidates must possess strong scrub experience in major general surgical cases and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
All candidates will undergo compliance checks to ensure they meet the necessary qualifications.
