The facility allows local candidates at the local rate. First-time travelers are not accepted. Every other weekend shift is required. Night shifts will be Friday and Saturday. Documentation system utilized is EPIC. Floating among general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, NICU, and PICU is required. Candidates should be comfortable managing patients with various medical and surgical diagnoses. The patient age groups include neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Candidate responsibilities include administering medications, central line management, and oxygen delivery systems. Support for breastfeeding and handling of breast milk is expected. Experience in infection prevention and wound care is beneficial. Candidates will provide care for patients with diverse medical needs, including respiratory challenges. No transplant or ventilator patients are included in this position. The unit will experience increased census during the respiratory season. Additional teamwork includes interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals. Candidates will float within the facility based on patient census as needed. A reference is required within 2 years of previous employment. Modules for training will be non-billable RN hours and will vary by specialty.
