Contract | Rotating Schedule (Days and Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Day Shift: 07:00–19:00 | Night Shift: 19:00–07:00 | Schedule rotates over multiple weeks, not within the same week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting
- Document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records (required, no exceptions)
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
- Complete all required orientation modules by the Friday of the orientation week
- Must be available to work a minimum of 2 holidays during the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state — must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required — no exceptions
- 2 professional references required
- Must comply with facility natural nail policy
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PICU or pediatric acute care setting
