Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting
- Monitor, assess, and respond to the complex needs of critically ill pediatric patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Float to other facilities within the health system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met
- Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- BSN required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 5 years of PICU experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Any prior employment with any University of California medical facility or affiliated/acquired facility must be disclosed with full employment history, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
- Local candidates are accepted and are subject to the same terms as travel candidates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience
