Travel RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 14–22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of up to 4:1
- Support and perform procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management
- Assist with thoracic cases such as thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants, as well as neuro, ortho, and general surgery services
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Work collaboratively within a full team environment, supporting colleagues across shifts as needed
- Float to NICU Level 1 or Level 2 as required based on unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Ability to work 4 weekend days every 4 weeks; no on-call requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience in a charge-nurse-free unit environment
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
