Gain valuable travel nursing experience in a well-established pediatric facility serving neuro, ortho, general surgery, and thoracic patient populations. Support and perform procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management.
Provide direct patient care in a 14–22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of up to 4:1
Support and perform procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management
Assist with thoracic cases such as thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants, as well as neuro, ortho, and general surgery services
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Work collaboratively within a full team environment, supporting colleagues across shifts as needed
Float to NICU Level 1 or Level 2 as required based on unit needs
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Ability to work 4 weekend days every 4 weeks; no on-call requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Experience in a charge-nurse-free unit environment
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
