Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and pediatric intensive care patients with a 1:2 PICU ratio and 1:3–1:5 ratios for IMC and general pediatric patients
- Assist with and support procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, chest tube placements, and conscious sedation
- Manage and monitor patients requiring vaso-active drips and mechanical ventilation for respiratory support
- Operate unit equipment including Hillrom beds, GE monitors, ICU Medical Plum 360 pumps, and Med Fusion syringe pumps
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements and collaborate as part of a charge-led nursing team on nights
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Pediatric ICU experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Combined pediatric and pediatric ICU clinical experience
- Experience caring for critically ill pediatric patients requiring advanced interventions such as mechanical ventilation and vasoactive medications
- Adaptable, team-oriented personality with the ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
