Job Title
Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)
Provide specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for patients ranging from infants through young adults up to age 25
Perform epilepsy monitoring and deliver specialized care across all applicable pediatric age groups
Administer and monitor inotropes and interpret EKG/ECG rhythms as part of routine patient care
Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable passing scores
Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday as required by the unit
Accurately document and submit hours worked using the designated time-tracking system
Required Qualifications
Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for; travel experience may be considered for pediatric experience requirement
Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric nursing experience
Active, permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license in hand at time of submission – no pending licenses accepted
Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications in hand at time of submission
Proficiency in EKG/ECG rhythm recognition and inotrope administration

Preferred Experience / Skills
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred
