Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Float as needed within the hospital, including to the Cardiac ICU (CVPICU/CICU), based on census and staffing needs — travelers are first to float when census drops
- Work rotating day and night shifts based on unit need, with every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement
- Work a minimum of 2 holidays during the contract period
- Complete an onsite background check and fingerprinting on the first day of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- Active RN license required at time of submission — valid Ohio single-state or multistate compact license accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Must be fully vaccinated — no exceptions
- No previous license disciplinary actions on record
- Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates — candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Exposure to Cardiac ICU (CICU) environment preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided the 2-year specialty experience requirement is met
