Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Float as needed within the hospital, including to the Cardiovascular/Pediatric ICU (CVPICU/CICU) based on census needs
- Adapt to unit needs with float assignments communicated at the start of each shift
- Work a minimum of every other weekend (EOW) and a minimum of 2 holidays during the contract
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation; Epic charting experience preferred
- Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including vaccination policies and background check procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license – valid single-state Ohio license or multi-state compact license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Must be fully vaccinated – no exceptions
- No previous license disciplinary actions (clean license history required)
- Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in or exposure to Cardiovascular ICU (CICU/CVPICU)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Flexibility with scheduling, including willingness to work all weekends for blocked schedule accommodation
