Registered Nurse – PICU / Pediatric Float Pool
Location
Charlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations
- Adapt clinical practice to the specific needs and protocols of each unit within the float pool
- Adhere to facility float pool policies and scope of practice requirements at all times
- Accurately document patient care activities and assessments using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
- Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- BSN preferred
