Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in an ICU setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
- Float within scope of practice across pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU to meet facility needs
- Participate in every other weekend shifts and holiday rotation as required
- Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including pre-start modules (approximately 4 hours, completed prior to start)
- Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU (PICU) experience required
- Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License required (SC license must be active prior to start date)
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- PALS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered as a standard candidate; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
