Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in ICU settings including PICU, NICU, TICU, and CICU across two campuses
- Float between ICU units based on patient census and staffing needs; may float to general care areas when no ICU needs exist
- Operate and monitor Servo ventilators and participate in Rapid Response Team (RRT) activations
- Administer and manage typical ICU drips, medications, and pressors
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:2 in ICU settings
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia or a compact state license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required – AHA-issued only
- ICU clinical experience with demonstrated competency in critical care skills
- Must be able to complete all compliance documentation within required timeframes prior to start date
- Must comply with a nicotine-free workplace policy; facility tests for cotinine/nicotine
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted if resume reflects required skill set)
