Travel RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed PICU setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–2, and 1:2–3 on stepdown
- Perform IV starts, urinary catheterizations, central line dressing changes, and assist with lumbar punctures
- Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, trach care, and tube feeding and placement
- Document all patient care activities using the Cerner electronic health record system
- Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed per unit floating policy
- Adhere to scheduling requirements including a minimum of 3 weekends worked per 6-week schedule cycle
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required; 2+ years preferred
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- Proficiency with Alaris infusion pumps and Cerner documentation system
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of PICU nursing experience
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management in a pediatric setting
- Familiarity with pediatric stepdown care environments
