    Travel RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–2 (PICU) and 1:2–3 (Stepdown)
    • Perform and assist with procedures including IV starts, catheterizations, LP holds, central line dressing changes, and trach care
    • Manage hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and tube feeding and placement
    • Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
    • Operate Alaris infusion pumps and other unit-specific equipment
    • Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed per unit floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
    • Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required; 2+ years preferred
    • Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
    • Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
    • Ability to work 3 weekends within every 6-week scheduling cycle
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 2 or more years of PICU nursing experience
    • Familiarity with Alaris pump systems and hemodynamic or ICP monitoring
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a pediatric critical care setting
