Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; 1:2+ nurse-to-patient ratios; holiday requirement includes working 2 of 3 major holidays

• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac technologies including Medtronic pacemakers, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry systems
• Float opportunities to Pediatrics and NICU for appropriate assignments within skill set
• Part of New Jersey's largest healthcare system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and specialized pediatric services

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2+ years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of cardiac experience (documented on skills checklist)
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Competency with congenital heart disease/repairs (ASD, VSD, AV Canal Defect, TOF, valve replacements, Glenn and Fontan procedures, cardiac catheterizations, ablations)
• Proficiency in cardiac transplant care, post-cardiac surgery management, hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP, airway management, chest tubes, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
• IV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, central line care, PICC management, and TPN/lipids
• Knowledge of pediatric dosage calculations and Broselow system
• Experience with IV vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, anti-seizure medications, and insulin administration
