Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement. Clinicians must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) as needed by unit/department.

Highlights:

  • 20-bed high-acuity PICU within a leading academic pediatric facility providing 24/7 care for critically ill infants through young adults
  • Complex case mix including congenital heart disease, post-operative cardiothoracic patients, respiratory failure, sepsis, and trauma
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 based on acuity; continuous on-site pediatric intensivist coverage and multidisciplinary care team support
  • EPIC charting system; experience required
  • Float to PICU, NICU, Pediatrics, Stepdown, Intermediate Care, and Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic as needed within skillset
  • First-time travelers and local candidates welcome; contract assignment with part of New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system

Requirements:

  • Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (NIHSS preferred)
  • Minimum 2.5 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Proficiency in ventilator management, CVVH, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and vaccine administration
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
