Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed PICU setting with a 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform procedures including IV starts, catheterizations, central line dressing changes, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Manage ventilator care, ICP monitoring, trach care, and tube feeding and placement
- Assist with and support lumbar puncture (LP) procedures
- Document all patient care using Cerner electronic health records
- Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed per unit policy
Required Qualifications- Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
- PALS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of PICU-specific experience
- Proficiency with Alaris infusion pumps and Cerner documentation system
- Ability to work 3 weekends within every 6-week scheduling cycle
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ICP management in a pediatric setting
- Familiarity with pediatric stepdown care (1:2-3 ratio)
- Comfort floating between PICU, general Pediatrics, and NICU environments
