Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
  • Float as needed within the hospital, including to the Cardiac ICU (CVPICU/CICU) and potentially to an additional campus, based on census needs - travelers are among the first to float when census drops and are notified at the start of their shift
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic (preferred)
  • Adhere to scheduling requirements, including every-other-weekend (EOW) obligation and a minimum of 2 holidays worked per contract
  • Complete an onsite background check and fingerprinting on the first day of assignment
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license - valid single-state Ohio license or multi-state compact license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required; exposure to CICU strongly considered
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Must be fully vaccinated - no exceptions
  • No previous license hits on background record
  • Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
  • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates - candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records system
  • Exposure to Cardiac ICU (CICU/CVPICU) in addition to PICU experience
  • Any additional nursing certifications (e.g., ANCC) are a plus
