Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; must work at least every other holiday

Highlights:
  • Specialized pediatric intensive care for patients up to 25 years of age
  • Experience with epilepsy monitoring and complex pediatric cases
  • Night shift rotation in a high-acuity PICU setting
  • Contract extension opportunities available up to 18 months
  • Comprehensive orientation including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety training
  • Work with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to critical pediatric care
Requirements:
  • Active Ohio RN license or Compact State license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in PICU specialty (travel experience accepted)
  • Minimum 18 months recent pediatric experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Proficiency with EKGs and inotropic medication management
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Managerial reference from specialty area within the past 12 months required
  • Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication assessments during orientation
  • Completion of BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
