Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting
• Monitor and manage critically ill pediatric patients, responding to changes in condition
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Adhere to unit policies, including holiday coverage requirements (one holiday per contract: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois permanent RN license required
• BSN required
• CPR certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of PICU or CICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required - this position is not suitable for first-time travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in high-acuity pediatric environments
