Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN – Texas

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with self-scheduling flexibility; variable weekend coverage required; no block scheduling or on-call required

Highlights:

• 18-bed PICU unit with average daily census of 15 patients
• Manageable 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios across all shifts

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of PICU nursing experience required
• Active compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios

• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
