**Job Description:**
- **Location:** 1235 E Cherokee St, Springfield, MO 65804
- **Floor:** Pediatric ICU 6F
- **Role:** Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Specialty:** Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- **Number of Openings:** 2
- **Shift:** Nights, 1830-0700
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Utilize the nursing process to provide exceptional patient care.
- Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
**Position Requirements:**
- **Required Licensure:** Current RN License in Missouri
- **Required Certifications:** BLS, PALS from AHA, TNCC
- **Experience:** 2 years in PICU, Vent competent, with at least 1 year post-orientation experience.
- **Patient Ratios:** ICU status 2:1, Intubated 1:1, pediatric status 3:1
- **Float Requirements:** Flexibility to work in NICU, PICU, Pediatric medical floor, or Peds ED based on patient volumes.

- **Patient Types:** Trauma, Burn, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Respiratory, Sepsis, Endocrinology, Chronic/Trach, Hematology/Oncology, Orthopedics.

- **Unacceptable Attire:** Jeans or any unprofessional attire.
**Working Conditions:**
- Stand and walk most of the time on duty.
- Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs.
- Primarily work in a clean, air-conditioned area.
- Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
