# Job Opportunity – Pediatric Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 8, 2026 **Location:** Dallas, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Rotating weekends (day shift Saturday and Sunday, night shift Friday and Saturday); 48 hours guaranteed; Tuesday start dates**Highlights:** - 27-bed pediatric cardiac intensive care unit utilizing an acuity adaptive care model for both ICU and step-down level patients- Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and occasionally 1:3 depending on acuity and census- Experience with advanced cardiac procedures including ECMO cannulation/decannulation, CRRT, central and arterial line placement, and post-operative cardiac care- Work with congenital heart disease patients including neonatal cardiac population (pre-op and post-op management)- Meditech EMR system with state-of-the-art equipment including Servo U ventilators, somanetics NIRS machines, and advanced monitoring technology- Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurses, patient care technicians, and experienced nursing staff**Requirements:** - Active Texas RN license or compact state license- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse (required)- Minimum 2 years PICU experience as a staff nurse- 3-4 travel contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU strongly preferred- Experience with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients- Proficiency in managing arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines- Current PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required- Experience with neonatal cardiac patients (1+ years preferred)**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work in a dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care environment where you'll provide life-saving care to children with complex congenital heart conditions.
