Job Opportunity – Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 15, 2026 **Location:** Dallas, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Rotating shifts with weekend rotation (day shift Sat/Sun, night shift Fri/Sat). No on-call required. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 based on acuity.**Highlights:** - 27-bed pediatric cardiac intensive care unit utilizing an acuity adaptive staffing model- Care for ICU and step-down level cardiac patients with continuity across the care spectrum- Work with advanced cardiac equipment including ECMO, CRRT, ventilators, and hemodynamic monitoring systems- EMR system: Meditech- Opportunities for floating to PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, and pediatric oncology units- Collaborative team environment with 90+ nursing staff members and dedicated charge nurses on each shift**Requirements:** - Active Texas RN license or compact state license- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse required- At least 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse- Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative CHD management- Proficiency with arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic line management- Current PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required- Experience with neonatal cardiac patients (pre-op and post-op) strongly preferred- Previous travel or contract experience in dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care settings preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work with a comprehensive range of cardiac patients in a high-acuity pediatric environment where you'll utilize advanced critical care skills including ECMO support, CRRT, conscious sedation, and post-operative cardiac recovery.
