# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – Kansas

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts. This is a travel nursing assignment in a 15-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a Level II Trauma facility.
Highlights:- Work in a dedicated 15-bed Pediatric ICU with a collaborative interdisciplinary team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, case management, and support staff
- Maintain a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, allowing for focused, high-quality patient care
- Utilize Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems for comprehensive documentation
- Perform critical pediatric procedures including IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
- Gain experience with general continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in a teaching hospital environment
- Join a skilled team of 38 clinical staff members committed to pediatric critical care excellence
Requirements:- Minimum 1 year of current hospital-based PICU RN experience required
- Active RN license in good standing
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Preferred: CRRT experience, APHON certification, and pediatric teaching hospital experience
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced critical care environment
