# Job Opportunity – Pediatric Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Houston, Texas**Start Date:** November 2, 2026 **Location:** Houston, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts, 4 weekend days per month; no on-call required**Highlights:** - Work in a 14-22 bed pediatric medical/surgical unit with a supportive, collaborative team environment- 4:1 patient ratio on this fast-paced med/surg unit with diverse pediatric case mix- Experience varied procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomies, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, seizure management, and non-invasive cardiology cases- Current services include orthopedic, general surgery, thoracic procedures, and neurological care (non-neurosurgery)- EMR system: Meditech- May float to Level 1 or Level 2 NICU only**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Texas (or eligible for licensure)- BLS certification required- PALS certification required- ACLS certification preferred- Prior pediatric medical/surgical nursing experience strongly preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse who thrives in a full team environment where collaboration and mutual support are core values.
