# Job Opportunity – Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 8, 2026 **Location:** Dallas, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Rotating weekends (day shift Saturday and Sunday, night shift Friday and Saturday); Tuesday start dates; 12-hour shifts with flexible patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 based on acuity**Highlights:** - 27-bed Pediatric CVICU utilizing an acuity adaptive model providing continuity of care for ICU and step-down level patients- Specialized cardiac care including post-operative management of congenital heart disease patients, ECMO, CRRT, and advanced cardiac procedures- Comprehensive team support with dedicated charge nurses and patient care technicians on each shift- Experience with cutting-edge equipment including Servo U ventilators, somanetics NIRS machines, and multiple IV pump systems- EMR system: Meditech- Floating opportunities to PICU, NICU, pediatric medical-surgical, and pediatric oncology units for professional development**Requirements:** - Active Texas RN license or ability to obtain- Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required- Minimum 1 year of dedicated Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse- At least 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse- Demonstrated experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative CHD management- Proficiency managing arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines- Preferred: 2+ years Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience; neonatal cardiac patient experience (pre-op and post-op); 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU setting**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work within a highly specialized pediatric cardiac intensive care environment where you'll make a meaningful impact on children with complex cardiac conditions and their families.
