**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nursing)
- **Hours:**
- 36 or 48 HOURS per week!
- Shift: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
- **Location Requirements:**
- Must live 75 miles away from the facility (Travel Opportunities)
- Local candidates (less than 75 miles) are welcome at local rate
- **Experience:**
- 2+ years in Emergency Department (ED) nursing with pediatric experience
- Travel experience is required
- **Certifications Required:**
- AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (current and up to date)
- **Licensure:**
- Active NY Registered Nurse license (NURSYS report for verification)
- **Submission Materials:**
- Up-to-date resume
- Skills checklist matching specialty
- Driver's license with matching address
- RTO (Requests Time Off) must be included at submission
- EMR experience with EPIC is required
- **Unit Characteristics:**
- Emergency Department with 64 beds, including:
- 2 Triage
- 40 Acute
- 6 Super Track
- 2 Trauma
- 10 CDU
- 6 Psych
- Common patient diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
- Care for diverse patients: Newborns, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
- Specialty equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
- High Charge Capability preferred
- Floating to other areas required
- **Patient Management:**
- Administer required drips & medications, including:
- Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
- Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
- Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine
- Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, Insulin
