- Ability to work all holidays with minimal time off
Description:
The Pediatric Emergency Room seeks experienced registered nurses.
This role involves working in a high-volume pediatric emergency department.
The nurse will care for patients up to 25 years of age.
The department typically sees around 400 visits during the winter season.
Nurses will run their own codes internally.
There are 3-5 triage areas available.
The use of emergency department techs is standard, providing support for every nurse.
Job duties include managing various pediatric emergencies, including trauma and acute conditions.
Nurses must be comfortable with procedures such as intubation, IV placement, and sedation monitoring.
Experience with pediatric dosage calculations is essential.
Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams are required.
The position requires availability for all shifts including weekends and holidays.
Candidates with pediatric emergency experience will be prioritized in the selection process.
