Experience: Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric / Pediatric Emergency Room experience required. Pediatric Emergency Room experience within the previous 15 months is required.
License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required.
Certifications:
AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS BLS - Basic Life Support required.
AHA/American Heart Association PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
TNCC certification required.
Must-Have:
Pediatric experience within the previous 24 months is required.
EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 12 months is required.
No first-time travelers; candidates must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months.
Description:
The position requires working in a Pediatric Emergency Room setting.
The nurse will encounter a variety of patient types, including Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and all pediatric specialties.
Candidates may be required to float across different units as necessary.
Patient ratios are 1:4, and the bed size for the unit is 12.
The contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed.
A de-escalation certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Professional references from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the previous 24 months are preferred.
Candidates must provide a valid driver’s license as part of the application process.
