Job Opportunity – Pediatric Emergency Room RN – San Antonio, Texas

Start Date: September 17, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment, 36 guaranteed hours per week, three 12-hour shifts. Multiple shift options available: 7A-7:30P, 7P-7:30A, 1P-1:30A, 3P-3:30A. Rotating weekends required. No call.

• Work in a state-of-the-art children's emergency department with 36 beds plus 2 trauma rooms
• High-volume pediatric emergency care serving 200-250+ patients per day during peak season
• 3:1 patient ratios with excellent support staff including unit clerks, pharmacists, techs, mid-level providers, and physicians
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Collaborative team environment in a new facility focused on family-centered care
• Comprehensive pediatric emergency experience including IV starts, catheterizations, and medication reconciliation

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Pediatric emergency nursing experience required
• Current BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and TNCC certifications required
• Proficiency in accessing and performing care and interventions on all pediatric patient populations
• Ability to float to ED holds or inpatient units as needed per facility floating policy
• Meditech experience preferred
• Leadership skills, Charge Nurse, or Nursing Educator experience preferred
