Patients in this unit require immediate medical attention. Team collaboration is essential for providing quality care. The unit accommodates a high volume of patients, especially during busy seasons. Nurses in this role will float as needed to assist in various areas. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 3:1. Nurses will need to perform essential procedures, including IVs and medication reconciliation. Documentation is completed using a specified electronic health record system.
