Description:
Position available for a registered nurse in the cardiovascular pediatric intensive care unit.
The assignment duration is 13 weeks with variable day and night shifts.
Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
A maximum of 6 days of RTO is allowed.
Must have strong cardiac experience.
Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation is required.
Travelers will not take patients during the immediate post-operative period.
The unit cares for high acuity patients, including post-operative cardiac surgical care, cardiology, congenital heart issues, and heart transplants.
Daily census includes a variety of pediatric patients from infants through young adults.
Candidates should have skills in multiple advanced care areas, including care of ventilated patients and central line management.
Applicants must have completed formal training in a pediatric cardiac ICU.
