Description:
The position requires pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience.
The nurse-to-patient ratio by shift is 1:1, 1:2 for ICU status, and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU in the overflow unit.
The unit consists of a 24-bed pediatric cardiac ICU and a 12-bed overflow unit.
The patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients.
The age range of patients is from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients.
