**Join Our Dynamic Pediatric CVICU Team!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Travel RN PEDS CICU
- **Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM
- **Location:** Dallas, Texas
**Unit Overview:**
- **Total Beds:** 27
- **Staff Members:** 90
- **Staffing Model:** Acuity adaptive teams care for ICU and step-down level patients for continuity.
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:2, 1:1, at times 1:3.
- **Equipment:**
- IV pumps (Medfusion and Baxter)
- Beds (Hillrom, HARD cribs, cribettes)
- GE radiant warmers
- Somanetics NIRS machines
- Servo U vents
- **EMR:** Meditech
**Ideal Candidate Must Have:**
- 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse
- 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU
- Minimum of 2 years PICU experience as a staff nurse
- Experience with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients
- Proficient in managing arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- 2 or more years of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience
- At least 1 year of experience with neonatal cardiac patients (pre-op and post-op)
- 2 or more years of experience in Pediatric cardiology step-down or floor care
**Key Procedures Performed:**
- Central line and arterial line placement
- Conscious sedation
- Intubation/extubation
- Post-op recovery of general and cardiac procedures
- Sternal closures
- Code blue response
- ECMO cannulation and decannulation
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Manual Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)

- Rotating weekends (day shift Saturday and Sunday, night shift Friday and Saturday)
- No call required
