The role involves providing specialized psychological care to pediatric patients within a short-term acute care setting. The candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and adhering to facility protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift time with a minimum of 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); experience working with pediatric and adolescent inpatient acute crisis units; at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience; current license or pending license eligibility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC charting system; previous community hospital or inpatient pediatric psychiatry experience preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to different units based on facility needs.
  • Additional Information: Travelers must have a vehicle for this assignment. Candidates are expected to float between units to meet patient care needs. Commitment to working three of the five major holidays is required. All scheduling requests, including approved time off, must be submitted during application. The role requires adherence to specific clinical procedures, specialized equipment usage, and working within established patient ratios.
