- **Unit Profile: Heart & Vascular**
- **Location:** 3301 Matlock Rd, Floor: 1st, Main Building
- **Number of Beds:** 31
- **Staff:** 63 dedicated professionals
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:4
- **Night Shift Staff:** 1 charge, 8 staff nurses, 2 PCTs
- **Skills Required:**
- **Must-Have:**
- ACLS Certification
- **Preferred:**
- Critical care skill set for post-cath management
- **Typical Procedures:**
- EKGs, EKG recognition
- Pacemaker interrogation
- Arterial sheath removal/monitoring
- Cardiac drip maintenance
- **Dress Code:**
- Scrub Color: Royal blue
- Acceptable under shirts: Long sleeve, no-print white, blue, or red
- Only uniform-approved jackets are permitted
- **Unit Guidelines/Policies:**
- Focused care for cardiac and vascular diseases
- Nursing assessments every 12 hours
- Vital signs monitored every 4 hours
