**Exciting Opportunity for an RN in Cardiovascular & Stroke Specialty Unit!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Portsmouth, New Hampshire - **Unit Name:** CSSU (Critical Specialty Services Unit) - **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (13 weeks) - **Unit Specifics:** - **Number of Beds:** 15 beds - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 - **Support Staff:** 1-2 LNA support - **Equipment:** GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipap and Hiflo, Baxter IV Pumps, Hemospheres - **Documentation System:** Meditech Expanse - **Scheduling Requirements:** - 12 shifts per month (3 shifts per week) - 4 weekend shifts per month - **Floating Policy:** Rotation basis, with travelers floating first - **Patient Experience:** MyCare board updated each shift during bedside report; bedside shift report at each change of shift - **Hospital Specifics:** - **Certifications:** - Comprehensive Stroke Center - Level 2 Trauma Center - **Requested Skill Set:** - **Must Have:** - Strong telemetry skills - Experience titrating vasoactive medications (e.g., levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, dobutamine) - Chest Tube management - **Preferred:** - Arterial Lines - Flo-Tracs - Temporary Pacing - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Temporary Pacing - Pre-op prep for cardiovascular surgery - Chest-tube removal - Arterial line removal - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS - BLS - **Dress Code:** Scrubs (color does not matter) - **Why Choose This Unit:** - Specialization in Cardiovascular and Vascular surgery - Access to a mobility team for support - Continuous patient monitoring by a central monitor station **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
