Exciting Opportunity: Travel RN - PCU** **Job Description:** - **Unit Location:** 630 and 633, Summit Medical Center - **Number of Beds:** - 630: 34 beds - 633: 25 beds - **Patient Ratios:** - Day Shift: 1:4 to 1:5 - Night Shift: 1:5 to 1:6 - **Unit Staffing:** - 3 techs for full 630 unit - 2 techs for full 633 unit - **Type of Equipment:** - BiPAPs, High Flow O2, Vapotherm - Alaris pumps, Cardiac drips, Heparin drips, Insulin drips - Peritoneal dialysis - Wound vacs with wound care - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Every other weekend - 3 twelve-hour shifts per week - **Floating Policy:** Possible floating between PCU units or med-surg floors - **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Hourly rounding on days - Every 2-hour rounding on nights - AIDET and maintaining communication boards on the 7th floor - Department 633 features TV communication boards **Qualifications:** - **Must Have Skills:** - Critical thinking skills - EKG rhythm interpretation - Experience with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips - Peripheral IV skills - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - ACLS - Experience with BiPAPs, High Flow O2, and various oxygen delivery systems - Familiarity with stroke and post-cardiac cath care - Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred - Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Peritoneal dialysis - Thoracentesis - Paracentesis - Chest tube insertions - Dobhoff/NG tube insertions - Central line dressing changes - Troubleshooting wound vacs **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS **Dress Code:** - Black Scrubs **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - [Unit specific policies and guidelines can be attached] **Awards/Recognition:** - [Include any department/team awards or links to promotional videos] **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
