Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro PCU)

Greensboro, NC | Progressive Care Unit
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit with a primary focus on medical neurological patients
- Manage patient care at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in a PCU setting
- Perform and support neurological patient care including CVA management, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing Screen
- Collaborate with a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) providing monitoring surveillance for assigned patients
- Float to other campuses within the health system as needed
- Complete required compliance modules during orientation (unit-based, non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Neuro PCU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
- No open background check cases permitted
- Current driver's license required to verify address
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
