**Job Description**
- **Unit Information:**
- Type: Tele/PCU Cardiac Unit
- Number of Beds: 29 private rooms
- Number of Staff: 18 dedicated professionals
- Staff Composition: RT, RN, CN, Throughput Manager, Case Manager, Rehab, Director/Manager, Ancillary
- **Shifts:**
- Day Shift:
- 1 Charge Nurse (CN)
- 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- 1 Unit Coordinator (UC)
- 7 Registered Nurses (RN)
- Sitters if needed
- Night Shift:
- 1 Charge Nurse (CN)
- 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- 7 Registered Nurses (RN)
- **Patient Ratios:**
- Either 1:4 or 1:5
- **Equipment:**
- Telemetry monitoring
- Continuous pulse oximetry
- **EMR System:**
- Meditech
- **Typical Hiring Profile:**
- **Must Have Skills:**
- ACLS
- BLS
- Telemetry experience
- **Preferred Skills:**
- NIH Stroke Certification
- PALS Certification
- ICU, Tele, PCU experience
- **Procedures Performed on Unit:**
- Blood transfusions
- IV starts
- Midline/Central line removals
- High fall risk patient populations
- Respiratory and cardiac assessments
